Stacy Race is a first assistant attorney general for the Michigan Medicaid Fraud Control Unit. Ms. Race has more than 15 years of experience as a civil litigator. She spent the first half of her career in the private sector defending civil actions, including those brought against local governments and law enforcement agencies. Ms. Race then joined the government, litigating false claims act cases for North Carolina, Michigan, and the United States. Prior to joining the Michigan unit in April 2019, she worked as a special deputy attorney general with the North Carolina Medicaid Fraud Unit for seven years and was designated a special assistant United States attorney for the Western, Middle, and Eastern Districts of North Carolina.
