Worker's Compensation Rule Change Update
On-Demand Seminar (Posted 03/14/22) | CLE: 0.5 | MCJE: 0.5
Available in the Partnership

Worker's compensation proceedings differ from general civil litigation and require adherence to unique procedures. Effective in November and December of 2021, the new administrative rules govern proceedings before the Michigan Workers' Disability Compensation Agency, Board of Magistrates, and Appeals Commission. Among other changes, the new rules expand discovery, modernize the rules on filing and service, and relax certain evidentiary standards.

Watch so you can:

  • Identify unique aspects of worker's compensation practice
  • Comply with new discovery requirements
  • File and serve documents electronically
  • Prepare for exhibit admissibility hearings
  • Use joint final pretrial conferences to your advantage
