Todd S. Selin, a partner with the firm, has focused his practice on domestic relations law for the past 20 years. He was an elected member of the State Bar of Michigan Family Law Council from 2000 to 2009, and served as chair of the Ingham County Bar Association Family Law Section from 2006 to 2012. Mr. Selin has lectured for the State Bar of Michigan, Ingham County Bar Association, and ICLE many times on topics such as child support; custody; non-disclosure agreements; avoiding malpractice; eavesdropping; analyzing real estate appraisals; and uncovering vulnerabilities in child custody experts. He has authored numerous articles in "Family Law Journal" and other legal publications on subjects ranging from domestic eavesdropping to stepparent adoption. He has been an adjunct professor at Cooley Law School on family law issues, and was formerly appointed by the Michigan Court of Appeals to serve as a court-appointed domestic relations facilitative mediator in 2006 and 2007. In 2014 Mr. Selin successfully completed the State Court Administrative Office’s domestic relations mediation and domestic violence screening program.
