Kellie M. Blair is a partner in her firm. She concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate litigation and transactions, business litigation, and commercial litigation. Ms. Blair has significant experience in real estate title insurance, real estate litigation, real estate errors and omissions, commercial litigation, employment litigation, construction liens, broker liability defense, corporate partnership and limited liability formation, contract disputes, insurance coverage, bankruptcy litigation, fraud litigation, and trade secret litigation. She has published articles in "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" and the "ABA Title Insurance Litigation News" and has been interviewed and quoted in "Crain's Detroit Business" regarding mortgage fraud in Michigan and in the "Detroit Free Press" concerning commercial litigation matters. Ms. Blair is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Michigan, including the U.S. Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan and the U.S. Eastern and Western District Bankruptcy Courts of Michigan. At University of Detroit Mercy Law School she was the managing editor of the "Michigan Business Law Journal." Ms. Blair participated in the university's London Law Program as an intern with Goldsmith Chambers. In 1998, she joined the law firm of Cheatham, Estes & Hollman as an associate, where she focused her practice in personal injury defense litigation. In 2003, Ms. Blair joined Garan Lucow Miller, PC, in Troy, where she began practicing real estate law and became a shareholder. In 2009, she established Matta Blair, PLC, with Steven Matta. Ms. Blair is currently a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Real Property, Business Law, and Appellate Law Sections.
