Joseph F. Galvin is the retired General Counsel for the Genesee County Drain Commissioner. He previously practiced in the areas of real estate, land use, and commercial litigation as well as handled various administrative proceedings. Mr. Galvin has experience in lawsuits involving rezoning, regulatory takings, sewer and water charges, and wetlands. He has taught real estate finance at Wayne State University Law School and land use law at University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Designated as a Michigan Super Lawyer in the area of litigation beginning in 2006, Mr. Galvin has also been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" in the areas of real estate law (2006-2013), land use and zoning law (2007-2013), and municipal law (2008-2013).
