Carol A. Rosati, the managing shareholder of the firm, practices in the areas of municipal law and zoning and land use litigation. She is a past chair of the State Bar of Michigan's Government Law Section (formerly the Public Corporation Law Section), where she served as a council member from 1990 until 2023. Ms. Rosati was the recipient of the 2006 Distinguished Municipal Attorney Award. She was named an honoree of the Women in the Law award by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" in 2012 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022. From 2013 to 2025, she was listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" in the areas of municipal, municipal litigation, land use/zoning, land use/zoning litigation, and, more recently, cannabis law; named Lawyer of the Year for municipal in 2016 and Lawyer of the Year for litigation - municipal in 2025; and has been listed in the Women in the Law section. From 2006 to 2024, Ms. Rosati has been designated a Michigan Super Lawyer and has been repeatedly included in Super Lawyers Top 50 Women Lawyers, Top 100 Lawyers, and Top 25 Women Business Lawyers lists. She was also named a Top Lawyer by "DBusiness" and "Hour Detroit" magazines in the areas of municipal law, land use/zoning litigation, and constitutional law from 2010 to 2024. As well as being a regular presenter for ICLE, Ms. Rosati has published numerous articles, presented frequently at conferences at both the state and national level, and prepared training tapes that have been distributed nationwide. She was also selected for a special features presentation on municipal law filmed by American Milestones.
