Elizabeth K. Bransdorfer

Elizabeth K. Bransdorfer practices in the areas of family law, collaborative practice, and appeals. She is a past chair of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan and currently cochairs its Mid-Summer Conference and Dedicated Family Court Committee. Ms. Bransdorfer formerly served as a board member of the Collaborative Practice Institute of Michigan and is a past president of the Gerald R. Ford Chapter of the American Inns of Court and a past chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Litigation Sections of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. She also served on the Representative Assembly and is a former member of the State Bar Civil Procedure Committee and Litigation Section Council. She is also a past president of the National Association of Women Lawyers and Women Lawyers Association of Michigan and a former member of the Kent County Circuit Court ADR Oversight Committee. Ms. Bransdorfer is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, was named by “Michigan Lawyers Weekly” as one of the Top 20 Women in the Law for 2011, and was the 2009 recipient of the Michael S. Barnes Award from Legal Aid of Western Michigan in recognition of her exemplary contributions toward the provision of free legal assistance to the poor and the elderly in western Michigan. She received the Blaine Johnson award from ICLE and has served as an instructor for ICLE's Family Law Certificate Program since its inception.
