Kathleen Hogan Aguilar is a shareholder in the firm's Estate Planning Group and specializes in estate planning, probate, elder law, and special needs advocacy. She is dedicated to working with individuals and families to find and create estate planning solutions that meet their unique needs and circumstances, while maximizing asset protection, minimizing taxes, and avoiding probate. Ms. Aguilar is a fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and a member of the Elder Law and Disability Rights and Probate and Estate Planning Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, the Probate and Estate Planning Section of the Grand Rapids Bar Association, and ICLE's Elder Law Advisory Board. She is listed in "The Best Lawyers in America," has been named a Rising Star and Top Lawyer in estate planning and probate by Super Lawyers, and has been recognized as a Top Lawyer in Trusts & Estates by "Grand Rapids Magazine." She regularly speaks on a variety of estate planning and elder law topics to professionals and nonprofit groups, and she is the author of numerous articles on estate planning and elder law issues.
