Arthur H. Siegal is a member of the firm's Environmental and Real Estate practice groups. For over 35 years, Mr. Siegal has represented clients dealing with all aspects of environmental law including governmental regulations, permitting, and compliance, assisting clients in corporate and real estate acquisitions with assessing and managing liabilities, and helping clients obtain brownfield redevelopment incentives. He has assisted the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy and has significant legislative experience, including helping craft the superfund amendments to Michigan's Part 201 in 2010; serving on the 2014 Stakeholder Initiative and as primary drafter for the redraft of Michigan Act 381, the brownfield financial incentive statute; drafting new coal ash legislation; and serving on the Solid Waste and Sustainability Advisory Panel. Mr. Siegal is admitted to practice in Michigan and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA), American Bar Association, Detroit Bar Association, ASTM International, and the National Brownfield Association. He served as chair of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce’s Energy and Environment Policy Committee and as chair of the OCBA's Energy, Sustainability, and Environmental Law Committee.
