Adraea M. Brown is the director of Legal Trademarks and Brand Protection at the company, where she leads the in-house trademark team and serves as vice president of H-D U.S.A. LLC, the owner of all Harley-Davidson trademarks. Ms. Brown oversees the company’s 5,000+ global trademark portfolio, brand protection and enforcement, and trademark litigation. She also provides legal support and counsel to the company’s multimillion-dollar licensing and strategic brand alliance programs. Ms. Brown was instrumental in helping the company obtain its largest-ever damages award against a single infringer in the amount of $19.2 million. She also led the legal support of strategic licensing relationships with Tuscany Motor Company for Harley-Davidson-branded Ford pickup trucks and LEGO for a Harley-Davidson Fat Boy toy motorcycle. She joined Harley-Davidson in 2015 as trademark corporate counsel and was promoted to senior trademark counsel in 2018 and her current role in 2019. Prior to joining Harley-Davidson, Ms. Brown was an associate with the PLK Law Group, a boutique trademark and copyright law firm in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
