Goli Mahdavi is counsel in the firm’s Data Privacy and Security Team. Focused on data privacy, cybersecurity, and technology transactions, Ms. Mahdavi counsels a diverse array of companies from start-ups to Fortune 100 companies. She works with clients on data privacy and security compliance programs and advises on all aspects of local and international data privacy and security laws, and emerging laws and regulations around the world. Ms. Mahdavi is a founding member of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) working group and has specialized training in AI governance. She has experience in advising many clients across various industry sectors in the preparation, drafting, and implementation of generative AI policies, guidelines, and internal trainings. Ms. Mahdavi has also provided consultations on AI governance. This includes the applicability of various AI laws, development of vendor due diligence processes, and updates to commercial contract templates to mitigate risk. She speaks frequently on these topics and is a Certified Information Privacy Professional for the United States (CIPP/US) and Europe (CIPP/E).
