Martin M. Shenkman, CPA, MBA, PFS, AEP, JD, is a lawyer in private practice in Fort Lee, New Jersey, and New York City. He focuses on estate and tax planning, planning for closely held businesses, and estate administration. Mr. Shenkman is a regular source for national publications, TV shows, and radio programs. He is also a prolific author, having published 42 books and more than 1,000 articles. Mr. Shenkman has served on the editorial board of many tax, estate, and real estate publications, including "Trusts and Estates." He has received numerous honors, including "CPA" magazine's Top 50 IRA Tax Practitioners (April/May 2008); the ABA's "Best Articles Published by the ABA"; a nomination for the 2009 "Foreword" magazine Book of the Year; and the 2012 AICPA Sidney Kess Award for Excellence in Continuing Education for CPAs. He was also featured on the cover of "Investment Advisor" magazine's April 2013 issue as the lead of their "all-star lineup of tax experts."
