Justin G. Klimko practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities regulation, corporate finance, corporate governance, and general business law. He is a former chair of the State Bar of Michigan's Business Law Section and serves as chair of the section's corporate laws and ad hoc legal opinions committees. Mr. Klimko is included in "The Best Lawyers in America" in several categories; ranked in "Chambers USA" in the field of corporate law/mergers and acquisitions; and included in Michigan Super Lawyers. A former adjunct professor at the University of Detroit Mercy Law School, he has taught numerous ICLE courses on drafting business and corporate documents and is a frequent author and lecturer. Mr. Klimko was awarded the Stephen H. Schulman Outstanding Business Lawyer Award in 2009 and has been named Lawyer of the Year by "The Best Lawyers in America" several times in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisition law, securities and capital markets law, and corporate governance law. He is a 2022 inductee into the "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" Hall of Fame.
