Robert A. Boonin

Robert A. Boonin has represented employers for 35 years, litigated employment law matters before federal and state courts across the nation, and counseled clients on issues such as discrimination, union, and wage and hour matters. Mr. Boonin is a fellow and past president of the Litigation Counsel of America, as well as the founder and past chair of its Wage and Hour Defense Institute. He currently serves as cochair of the American Bar Association’s Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee, member of the editorial board of the legal Bloomberg BNA treatise "The Fair Labor Standards Act," and editor of the legal treatise "Employment Discrimination." Mr. Boonin is a past chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Labor and Employment Law Section, a fellow of the American College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and former cochair of the ABA’s FLSA subcommittee. Mr. Boonin has received the following awards and recognitions: Michigan’s Top Lawyer in employment law by Chambers USA, "The Best Lawyers in America" in employment law, Michigan Super Lawyer in labor and employment law matters, and Southeast Michigan’s Lawyer of the Year in employment law.
