Joel E. Bair

Joel E. Bair practices in the areas of patents, trademarks, copyrights, unfair competition, and international intellectual property. He also specializes in Internet law. Mr. Bair is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and is a former chair of its Intellectual Property Law Section. He is an active member of the International Trademark Association, the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association, and the American Intellectual Property Law Association and is a member emeritus of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Bair has contributed articles on trademark issues to business periodicals and has taught patent and computer law at Cooley Law School. He has also presented at several section-sponsored seminars. Mr. Bair is a former chair of the intellectual property group at Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt and Howlett and served in the Judge Advocate General's Corps of the U.S. Navy. He was a contributor to "A Practical Guide to E-Business Law" (ICLE).
