Eric J. Pelton

Eric J. Pelton practices in the area of labor and employment law, counseling employers on employment issues and traditional labor law, grievance arbitration, policy formulation, wage and benefit issues, noncompete covenants, and class-action litigation. With a national practice that includes large corporate clients, he has tried, arbitrated, and mediated dozens of cases throughout the country. Mr. Pelton served on the Michigan Board of Law Examiners for 12 years and is a past president of the Oakland County Bar Foundation. A member of the State Bar of Michigan, he is a member of its Labor and Employment Law Section and a former commissioner. Mr. Pelton has also served as vice chair of the Board of State Canvassers, as president of the Michigan chapter of the Federalist Society, and as a member of the executive committee of the Labor and Employment Practice Group of the Federalist Society. He has taught employment law at Wayne State University Law School and conducted numerous workshops and client seminars on labor and employment law topics. Mr. Pelton is a fellow in the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, is listed as top tier in "Chambers USA," has been listed as one of the top 10 litigation attorneys in Michigan by Super Lawyers, and was selected as a Leader in the Law by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly."
