Daniel J. Schulte serves as a member of his firm's executive committee and cochair of the firm’s health care practice group. His practice focuses on addressing the legal, business, licensing, and regulatory challenges of health care professionals, organizations, and facilities. In addition to representing health care clients in state and federal regulatory matters including fraud and abuse issues, Mr. Schulte counsels on the antikickback and Stark laws, preparation of compliance programs, and responding to and negotiating settlements in connection with governmental enforcement actions. He also assists health care clients with a number of corporate, transactional, and contractual issues. Beyond his work in the health care arena, Mr. Schulte has significant experience representing businesses and entrepreneurs on corporate and real estate matters. He writes articles and makes presentations frequently before legal, medical, and business groups on a variety of topics. He has repeatedly been listed in "The Best Lawyers in America" for his work in health care law and has been named a Michigan Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers for more than 10 years.
