Connie R. Thacker concentrates her practice on complex family law matters, including business valuations, custody, and parenting time cases. Ms. Thacker is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML) and is certified by AAML as an arbitrator. She is certified as a mediator and in collaborative practice and is a certified divorce financial analyst. Ms. Thacker is a former chair of the Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan and the Grand Rapids Bar Association. She was named Best Lawyer of the Year by "Best Lawyers" in the area of family law for Grand Rapids in 2011, 2015, and 2017. In 2016 "Best Lawyers" named her Family Law Lawyer of the Year in Grand Rapids for collaborative law. Ms. Thacker has also been selected as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers from 2011 to 2021. She is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Michigan Council for Family and Divorce Mediation, and the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals.
