R. Lance Boldrey is leader of the firm’s cannabis law practice. He represents a wide range of industry participants, from small retail establishments to large vertically integrated players to lenders and investors. Mr. Boldrey specializes in licensing, state and local regulatory matters, and legislative issues. He leads the firm’s representation on corporate and M&A work, real estate, and other aspects of this rapidly changing industry. In addition to his cannabis work, Mr. Boldrey maintains an active practice in Native American law, for which he has been recognized by “Best Lawyers in America” (2007-present) and “Chambers USA” (2016-present). Mr. Boldrey previously served as deputy counsel to former Michigan Governor John Engler and as a policy advisor on regulatory issues in the Michigan House of Representatives.
