Hon. Maureen H. Kinsella was appointed to the court on April 27, 2022, by Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Prior to her appointment, Judge Kinsella spent nearly 20 years at Miller & Tischler, PC, in Farmington Hills in litigation practice serving as the firm's vice president and on the firm's Management Committee. As a litigator, Judge Kinsella represented medical service providers and catastrophically injured persons and their families in no-fault insurance matters. She also served as a discovery mediator for the Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) and a case evaluator for the Oakland County Case Evaluation Tribunal and was a member of the OCBA's Circuit Court Committee and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Prior to her appointment, Judge Kinsella was a member of the American Association of Justice and Michigan Association of Justice, where she served as an executive committee member. She also served for more than four years as a board member on the Michigan Brain Injury Provider Council, most recently having served a term on its executive committee.
