David M. Cessante has spent his entire career representing and counseling employers in all matters relating to the employment relationship. As a member in his firm's Labor and Employment Practice Group, he has extensive litigation experience defending employers in federal and state courts as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and other administrative tribunals. Mr. Cessante is a member of the State Bar of Michigan's Labor and Employment Law Section and is the former chair of the Oakland County Bar Association's Labor and Employment Law Committee. He is named in "The Best Lawyers in America" and has been recognized as a Michigan Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers and as a Top Lawyer by "DBusiness." Mr. Cessante has lectured on various employment topics, including the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, preventing sexual harassment in the workplace, and drug testing.
