Lynn A. Gandhi is a partner in the firm and practices in the area of taxation and tax appeals, advising clients nationwide on multistate tax strategies, resolving tax disputes, and litigating state tax cases. She advises her clients on sophisticated multistate tax planning, audits, appeals, and litigation and represents them in legislative and policy initiatives across multiple industry platforms. Her clients come from across the country and include many Fortune 500 companies, as well as small and large Michigan-based businesses. She has advised clients in resolving tax disputes in almost every state. She is a member of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce board, Bloomberg BNA State Tax Advisory Board, American Bar Association, and Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan. She is an advisory board member of the CCH State Income Tax Alert and of the Paul J. Hartman State and Local Tax Forum of the Vanderbilt University Law School. She is a former board member of the Council on State Taxation. Ms. Gandhi is also a certified public accountant, registered in Michigan and Illinois, and an adjunct professor at Wayne State University Law School. She has written extensively and frequently speaks on state tax matters. She presently writes a "State Tax Notes" column entitled "Smitten With the Mitten."
