Geoffrey M. Brown is an investigating attorney with the department's Office of the Inspector General. Before taking on his current position, he spent two decades as an appellate attorney, representing lawyers and physicians in malpractice appeals, handling general liability and commercial appeals, and providing legal research and writing for appellate courts. Mr. Brown began his legal career at the Michigan Court of Appeals, serving as a research attorney and later as law clerk to Judge Henry W. Saad. He spent 10 years in private practice in the appellate department at Collins Einhorn Farrell, PC, in Southfield as an associate and partner. Mr. Brown subsequently worked for several years as a solo practitioner, primarily acting as an independent contractor for the Michigan Court of Appeals Research Division.
