H. Douglas Shepherd IV practices in the areas of business, banking, and real estate law, focusing on creditors' rights. He has represented local, regional, and national financial institutions in working out troubled loan relationships, documenting new loan relationships, auditing loans with comprehensive loan reviews, and maximizing recovery to the financial institution through enforcement of creditors' rights by using litigation, foreclosure, and all available contractual and statutorily created methods. Mr. Shepherd is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Solo and Small Firm Section. He has published articles in the Michigan Land Title Association's "The Title Examiner" and regularly presents to clients on a variety of loss mitigation topics, including mortgage foreclosure, mortgage modification, forbearance agreements, collection litigation procedures, landlord-tenant evictions, and loan documentation.
