Saura James Sahu

Saura James Sahu is the founding principal of his firm, a business law and federal litigation boutique. He was previously a principal at Miller Canfield, where he specialized in complex litigation and internal investigations that involved high stakes and new legal issues. He also served as deputy city attorney for the city of Battle Creek, where he led its federal litigation docket. Mr. Sahu began his legal career as a federal judicial law clerk for Judge Julian Abele Cook, Jr., of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. A member of the California and Michigan bars, he has also served as an officer and board member of the Federal Bar Association, a board member of the Kalamazoo County Bar Association, an active member of the Labor Relations Committee of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and a Life Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Mr. Sahu often speaks and writes about anticorruption issues and has also taught constitutional law and civil rights litigation at law schools in Michigan.
