Marc N. Swanson leads the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group at the firm, which has received the highest possible ranking (Band 1) by Chambers and Partners from 2022 to 2024. He was also elected as one of the firm's managing directors in 2024. Mr. Swanson practices in the areas of bankruptcy, banking and public finance, and corporate transactions, with extensive experience in the oil and gas, automotive, banking, and building supply industries. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the Michigan Oil and Gas Association, and the Turnaround Management Association (Detroit Chapter). Mr. Swanson has spoken about bankruptcy at the Bankruptcy Conference for the Federal Bar Association for the Western District of Michigan and as a panelist for one of the Turnaround Management Association's Case Study Luncheon sessions. He has also written several articles on bankruptcy for "Michigan Lawyers Weekly." Mr. Swanson has been listed as one of the American Bankruptcy Institute's 40 Under 40 in 2019 and as a Pro Bono Awardee of the Detroit Bar Association and was on the State Bar of Michigan's Pro Bono Honor Roll in 2021.
