Laura E. Johnson, a shareholder in the firm, primarily practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, entity formation, and general corporate and business law. She also advises clients in venture capital and private equity transactions. Ms. Johnson is cochair of Butzel’s Pro-Bono Committee and a member of the firm’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She is also a council member of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law Section. Ms. Johnson was named to "Dbusiness" magazine’s 2021 Class of 30 in Their Thirties, "Michigan Lawyers Weekly," Women in the Law for 2021, Michigan Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2022, and "The Best Lawyers in America" for corporate governance for 2023. She is admitted to practice in Michigan and New York.
