Rabih Hamawi has extensive expertise in insurance coverage, business negotiations, and commercial litigation. He focuses his practice on representing business owners, homeowners, property owners, and other insurance policyholders in fire, property damage, and insurance-coverage disputes with insurance companies and in errors-and-omissions cases against insurance agents. Mr. Hamawi has also taught as an adjunct professor teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in personal and corporate finance, risk management, and insurance and financial planning at the University of Phoenix, Davenport University, and Southern New Hampshire University. He is the chair of the Insurance and Indemnity Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Hamawi also serves as the vice chair of the Property Insurance Law Committee of the American Bar Association and as a member of the Executive Board of the Michigan Association of Justice. He is a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors, the Society of Certified Risk Managers, and the Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters. Mr. Hamawi has been named to Michigan Super Lawyers' Rising Stars from 2017 to 2023 and as an Up and Coming Lawyer by "Michigan Lawyers Weekly" in 2020. He has also been named as a Top Lawyer by "DBusiness" in the areas of insurance law and insurance. He is bilingual and fluent in Arabic.
