Ashleigh Draft is an associate attorney with a labor and employment practice and additional experience in corporate and higher education matters. She is experienced in workplace investigations, defending clients in grievance arbitrations, and successful resolution of employment-related disputes. Ms. Draft also advises clients on compliance with federal and state labor and employment laws and other workplace matters, including effective employee handbooks and policies, discrimination, disability accommodation, and wage-and-hour issues. In addition to her labor and employment practice, she has experience in general business and transactional matters and also works with school districts and institutions of higher education. In her representation of educational institutions, Ms. Draft assists with student affairs, school discipline issues, and specialized matters of compliance, including the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act and Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972. Ms. Draft is a board member of the Baxter Community Center, Grand Rapids Ballet, and the Literacy Center of West Michigan.
