Bryan W. Davis serves as counsel in the firm’s Birmingham, Michigan office and has been involved in actions arising in both state and federal courts, with advocacy on behalf of clients in matters involving administrative appeals, governmental immunity, and challenges to state labor legislation. Mr. Davis’s practice has focused on traditional labor law, both within the public and private sectors, including matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act, Michigan’s Public Employment Relations Act, and Michigan’s Compulsory Arbitration of Labor Disputes in Police and Fire Departments. Prior to his time at Ogletree, he served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan’s Department of Attorney General, working with the Department’s Labor Division, focusing on representation of the State of Michigan, its agencies, commissions, and employees, in both administrative matters and litigation arising in state and federal courts. Mr. Davis has also served as in-house counsel, providing representation to both public and private sector labor organizations, handling, among other things, labor arbitrations, and cases arising before the National Labor Relations Board, and the Michigan Employment Relations Commission.
